Vanessa is passionate about movement and has been teaching for over 30 years, helping clients build strength, move with confidence, and feel their best. She holds accredited qualifications in Pilates, Dance, and Business, and has completed extensive training in Clinical Pilates through the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI). Vanessa has also undertaken specialised professional development in Pilates for scoliosis and osteoporosis, reflecting her commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing learning.
Through her work in Clinical Pilates, Vanessa has supported clients across all stages of life and with a wide range of injuries, conditions, and movement goals. She has extensive experience tailoring programs for clients managing back and hip pain, arthritis, postural concerns, rehabilitation, and chronic conditions, as well as for those seeking to improve strength, mobility, and balance.
Vanessa spent nearly ten years teaching professional dance students, helping them safely develop strength, flexibility, body awareness, and injury resilience. She continues to enjoy working with dancers and athletes who want to enhance performance, prevent injury, and move more efficiently.
Having experienced the challenges of injury firsthand throughout her professional dance career - including rehabilitation following a hip replacement - Vanessa brings empathy, insight, and understanding to her teaching.
Above all, Vanessa is passionate about creating individually tailored programs that are both effective and engaging. Her sessions combine expert guidance, creativity, and careful progression, ensuring every client feels supported, appropriately challenged, and confident in their movement journey.
